HOW TO EAT HEALTHY AND INDULGE YOURSELF IN THE LONG TERM

People asked us how can keep a healthy lifestyle for the long term. We understand this could be hard if you are a dessert lover (we are too). Keep in mind that eating healthy is not a diet, it’s a lifestyle and if you know how to do it it’s not that difficult at all.

Here some tips to keep in mind & write them as a stone in your head:

  • Make your health your top priority
  • Focus on healthy  long term sustainable results, there is no shortcut.
  • Focus on unprocessed healthy food
  • Eat the right food & the right macros at the right time
  • ALWAYS make the foods that you eat delicious.

Keep these rules and we are sure you will become closer to the best version of yourself; more healthy, stronger and fit. But I am sure the above doesn’t completely answer the first question. The real secret is to eat healthy food the smart way, make the better choices and learn how to eat delicious without guilt. Balance!

Once a week
For example, as desserts lovers, we allow ourselves to a treat once a week. No matter what it is: cake, macarons, chocolate, etc. you name it. (once a week, one meal, one thing we love). This meal is also a reward for the effort we have put over the week.

Always remember to enjoy life and the things you love. But do it smart. For that we use our LYH app, we swap our meal, we keep our macros on point, and we enjoy that meal, no guilt!!!

Over the years we have also learned to create our own dessert. Usually less than ½ calories of the normal version, plus they are done with ingredients that feed our body, muscles, skin and makes our mind happy while we indulge them.

One good example is our favorite Low-fat chocolate cupcakes

Personally, I love the full recipe and frosting which taste amazing considering is low calories. Enjoy, eat smart and make the better choices.
